Dear WordPress website owner,
WordPress powers 28% of the web now. This is because it is free, versatile and easy for anyone to use.
Unfortunately, its popularity also makes it fertile hunting ground for hackers.
So, every WordPress website needs continuous monitoring and technical upkeep for security, stability and performance.
In order for you or your team to keep up with this, you need to...
- Login once a week
- Make sure you have a current backup (in case something crashes your site during the update)
- Update all the plugins and WordPress Core if needed.
- Review the site to make sure it’s still operating as it should
- Test all forms (before & after) updates
Doesn't seem like much, but 20 to 30 minutes a week, all year long adds up! And that doesn't include the occasional plugin problem. Or, heaven forbid! the need to restore your whole site after an intrusion.
If you would rather pay someone who knows WordPress and keeps up with WordPress security issues, I am introducing three levels of ‘Webkeeping Services.'
